Preparations for Saturday Meets
Friday Nights Place important items in your bag, i.e. socks, extra shirt, extra shoes, warm ups and monry for lunch.
Have your uniform laid out and ready to put on.
Check spikes if needed.
Have water bottle out.
Check to see if necessary breakfast items are available in the house.
Check with your ride or riders so everyone is ready to leave the house on time.
Hydrate all day long with water
Get to bed at a reasonable time: doesn't need to be early but not much later than a weekday either.
Saturday Morning Get up at least 30 minutes before the bus leaves to eat, shower etc.
Eat a good breakfast at home
No greasy foods like fried bacon or gravy
Avoid foods with high sugar content
No eggs: cause gas due to sulfur and uncomfortable bus rides for others
No orange juice: too acid
Toast or bagel with little jam is good
Cereal with not too much milk is good
Water or tea or powerade type drinks is good
